(3) It is used as a solvent for pharmaceutical production;
(4) It is used for cleaning precision instruments and circuit boards in the semiconductor industry.

The application scope of NMP (industrial grade) mainly includes the following aspects:
(1) Used as the basic organic raw material for extraction and recovery in the petrochemical industry. It can be used as a solvent for recovering acetylene from natural gas or light naphtha thermal cracking gas, and the purity of recovered and concentrated acetylene reaches 99.7%; as an extractant for separating and recovering high-purity butadiene from cracked C4 hydrocarbons, the recovery rate reaches 97%, and the purity of recovered butadiene is 99.7%; as an extractant for recovering high-purity isoprene from cracked C5 hydrocarbons, the purity of recovered isoprene reaches 99%; when used as an aromatics extractant, due to its high solubility and low vapor pressure for aromatics, the loss rate of the extractant is low and the recovery rate of aromatics is high during the process.
(2) Used in lubricating oil refining. Used to extract aromatic hydrocarbons from lubricating oil to achieve the purpose of refining lubricating oil.
(3) Used as a solvent for polymers and polymerization reactions. For example, it is a polymerization solvent for the production of polyphenylene sulfide and aramid, polyimide, polyamide, polyurethane and other polymers;
(4) Since NMP has a large solubility in resin, it is used as a solvent for resin processing, specifically for the manufacture of coatings, floor paints, varnishes, composite coatings filming, insulating materials for enameled wires used in integrated circuit, fiber fabrics and adhesives.
(5) Used in industrial detergents to clean chemical equipment, remove blockages, attachments and coating layers, etc.
